Sustainability is very important to us, that is why we purchase products for the breakfast buffet from local farmers and shops. We want to provide you with the best start to the day. Bread and eggs fresh from the Vorderrain farmer, cheese from the Sinnlehen farm and the Scheiber family, yoghurt from Mei Muich and cold meats from the butcher in Leogang. You can be certain only the best regional products end up on your breakfast plate. And when you try the cake, you'll be able to tell I baked it myself with plenty of love. Enjoy the flexibility of our fully equipped guest kitchen and prepare your favourite dishes yourself. After an active day, this space invites you to cook, relax and socialize with other guests - perfect for those who value independence on holiday and like to wind down the eveining in good company. A well stocked drinks fridge is of course part of the experience.
The kitchen is fitted with an electric stove, fridge, microwave, oven, dishwasher, cooking utensils and kettle.
Environmental protection is a top priority for us.
Here at Pension Schwaiger sustainability and environmental protection are key areas where we have taken significant action; indeed, we have been awarded the Austrian Ecolabel. But it doesn't stop there: there are still many opportunities to benefit the environment and we would be delighted if you joined us in this effort.
Our energy-efficient guesthouse underwent a complete thermal renovation in 2010 (window replacement, insulation) so we no longer lose valuable heat.
As part of the renovation, the heating system was switched from oil to pellets. The system is fueled by pellets from the nearby Schößwendter sawmill.
When purchasing additional breakfast items we look for organic quality and/or Fair Trade products.
We offer our guests a digital guest directory, saving alot of printed paper.
We source our cleaning products and washing powder from companies that also have the environmental label.
We offer a pick-up service to our guests arriving by train in Leogang.
You can drink the tap water in our energy-efficient guesthouse.
Since February 2023 we have been Austrian Ecolabel certified, meaning that the points mentioned above are checked and confirmed by an independent authority.
