For us at Energiepension Schwaiger, sustainability and environmental protection are important points for which we have already done a lot. This is how we were awarded the Austrian eco-label. But that's not all: There are still many possibilities and chances to do good for our nature and we would be happy if you support us on this path.
- Thermal sanitation
Our energy pension was completely thermally renovated in 2010 (window replacement, insulation) and thus we do not lose any valuable heat to the outside.
- Pellet heating system
In the course of the conversion, an oil heating system was switched to a pellet heating system. The heating is filled with pellets from the nearby Schößwendter sawmill.

All of our renovation work is and was done almost exclusively with companies from Leogang or the surrounding area:

Our breakfast buffet is filled with local products from Leogang:
- Eggs and bread from Vorderrainbauer, Scheiber family, Leogang
- Cheese from Sinnlehenhof, Leogang
- Yoghurt from Ziefer's Hofmolkerei, Leogang
- Sausage from the butcher Fürstauer, Leogang
- Rolls from the Ritter bakery, Leogang
When purchasing other breakfast items, we pay attention to organic quality and/or fair trade products. - Digitalization
We offer our guests a digital information folder and thus save a lot of printed paper. When processing your inquiries and bookings as well as in daily correspondence, we also avoid printing out as much as possible.
- "Frosch" cleaning supplies
We obtain our cleaning agents and washing powder from the company Frosch, which has its own product line for Green Hotels.
- Öffentliche Verkehrsmittel
Due to the central location we have a good connection to the public transport network and in winter we have our own ski bus stop directly at the house.
- Pick up service
We offer our guests a pick-up service if they arrive in Leogang by train.
- Pure drinking water
You can drink the water in our house from the tap.
- Austrian eco-label
We have been rewarded with the Austrian eco-label in February 2023, which means that the points listed above are checked and confirmed by an independent authority regularly.
